Secret Chef ("we", "our", "the app") is a recipe generation application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Photos: When you use the scan feature, the app sends your photo to our server for ingredient analysis. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers. They are deleted immediately after processing.
Preferences: Your dietary preferences, cuisine choices, household size, and cooking time are stored locally on your device. They are not transmitted to any server except as part of recipe generation requests.
Recipe History: Your recipe history and favorites are stored locally on your device only.
Subscription Data: Subscription purchases are managed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment information. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data to manage your subscription. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personal information. We do not use analytics or tracking tools. We do not show advertisements.
The app uses the following third-party services:
Anthropic (Claude AI): For ingredient recognition and recipe generation. Photos and ingredient lists are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat: For subscription management. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
The app requests camera access solely to photograph your ingredients for recipe generation. Photos are processed and immediately discarded. They are never stored, shared, or used for any other purpose.
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
